PLAINVIEW, Texas – Wayland Baptist University junior Leonard Lebrun has been named a 2025-26 Cobalt Golf NAIA All-America Scholar, recognizing his outstanding achievements in both the classroom and on the golf course.
Lebrun was one of 83 NAIA student-athletes representing 30 institutions to receive the prestigious honor for the 2025-26 academic year. The award recognizes golfers who have demonstrated excellence academically while competing at a high level throughout the season.
To be eligible for Cobalt Golf NAIA All-America Scholar recognition, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, participate in at least 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, maintain a stroke average below 78.0, and carry a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.2. Recipients must also be of high moral character and remain in good standing at their institution.
"Leonard is a quality young man, and it's always a pleasure traveling with him and growing closer to him during our trips," said Wayland Baptist men's golf head coach Tom Harp. "I'm very happy for him and excited to have him back as part of our team this upcoming season. From the first day he stepped on campus, Leonard has been one of the hardest-working students in the classroom. This honor is well deserved."
Lebrun's selection reflects his commitment to excellence both in competition and in the classroom. His dedication to balancing the demands of collegiate golf with academic success embodies the values of the Wayland Baptist University men's golf program and the NAIA's emphasis on developing well-rounded student-athletes.
The Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar program is one of the nation's premier academic honors for collegiate golfers, recognizing student-athletes who distinguish themselves through academic achievement, athletic performance and exemplary character.
