At the Sooner Athletic Conference Golf Tournament held April 21 and 22 at Tascosa Golf Club’s La Paloma Course, Ian finished second in the 47-player field and led Wayland to its first-ever conference title. Ansett shot a pair of 2-under 69s followed by a 70 for a 5-under 208 total, three shots behind the winner. “Ian just continues to get better," coach Tom Harp said. Ansett and the No. 1-ranked Pioneers will play at the NAIA Men’s Golf Championships May 13-16 in Daytona Beach, Fla.
