Dennis won the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Texas State Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos. A junior from Kenya, Dennis broke the tape in 9 minutes, 12.49 seconds, the fastest time in the NAIA this outdoor season. He came in three seconds in front of Noah Bundrock of West Texas A&M in the 16-runner field.
