Marshall scored 43 points in leading the No. 21 Pioneers to a 102-99 overtime win over Sul Ross State on Saturday. The 6-foot-2 junior guard from Perth, Australia, made 9-of-16 field goals (56 percent), including 3-of-7 3-pointers, and hit 22-of-25 free throws (88 percent). He also had three rebounds, three assists and a steal. The 43 points are the most scored by a Pioneer this century and are just seven off the school record of 50 by Roy Young in 1955-56 against Sheppard Air Force Base. Marshall was named Sooner Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. Assistant coach Landon Hughey:
"(Marshall) was great. He had a great night."
