After catching the first game of a season-opening doubleheader at home Friday against University of the Southwest and making no fewer than a pair of nice defensive plays, Tyler came on as a relief pitcher in the nightcap, striking out seven and allowing two hits in 3 1/3 innings. The junior from Glendale, Ariz., was back behind the plate in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against USW in Hobbs, N.m., and went 3-for-4 at the plate. He had RBIs for the week.
