Marina, a three-time all-American, shot a pair of 3-over-par 74s and finished second at the Bellevue University Spring Break Classic held at Brackenridge Park Golf Club in San Antonio. Marina came up two strokes behind winner Tia Teiniketo of Dalton State, Ga., and finished in a three-way tie with Caroline Griffin of Dalton State and Trudy Allen of Texas Wesleyan, although Marina prevailed in a scorecard playoff to finish runner-up. Said Coach Jim Giacomazzi: "Marina was solid. She was right there and probably could have won it but didn't execute a shot or two. That happens." Marina finished fourth at her first tournament of the spring in mid-February in Victoria.
