Yaniel, a junior second baseman from Aguada, Puerto Rico, helped the Pioneers to a regular-season-ending road sweep of Southwestern Assemblies of God. He went 6-for-11 with a grand slam, a triple and three doubles, compiling a slugging percentage of 1.273. He drove in five runs and scored four. His grand slam – his third home run of the season – gave the Pioneers the lead as part of a seven-run fourth inning during the second game of the series.
