Valencia shot a 1-over 74 and was tied for first place after the first round of the 24th annual Eagle Invitational played on the LPGA International Golf Club's Champions Course in Daytona Beach, Fla. A triple bogey late in the second round, when she shot a 77, dropped her out of contention for the title, but she still finished tied for fourth place out of 53 golfers, helping the Pioneers to a fourth-place team finish. Valencia also was named Sooner Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Week.
