Morgan became only the fourth female in WBU history, and the first in two years, to capture an individual tournament championship when she won the Battle at Primm in Primm, Nev., by five strokes. A junior from New Brunswick, Canada, Matchett shot an opening round 4-under 68 followed by a 74 for a 2-under 142 total. Said Coach Jim Giacomazzi: "Morgan had a fantastic tournament. She was the only person in red figures.” Morgan is the current Sooner Athletic Conference and NAIA Women's Golfer of the Week.
