Wayland sprinter Natasha Gay put in another stellar performance for the Pioneer track team this weekend at the University of Texas at El Paso's invitational meet.

The Denver, Colo. native took ninth place in the women's 100 meters with an 11.98 and currently holds the No. 5 place on the NAIA leaderboard in the event (earned in early March at the Texas Relays). She finished in 24.13 in the 200 meters, good enough for eighth place and the third best time in the country.

The senior ran the anchor leg of the women's 4x100 relay with three freshmen, bringing in a sixth place finish with a 46.32. Their performance puts them third on the NAIA leaderboard. Gay also competed on the 4x400 relay squad, which finished 10th with a 3:58.51.
