SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. --- The Pioneer men's soccer team struggled offensively in a 2-0 shutout at John Brown University on Saturday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles outshot Wayland 17-2 in the contest, which was held before a Homecoming weekend crowd at JBU Alumni Field.
The game was scoreless until JBU finally found the back of the net 14 seconds before the end of the first period. The home team scored an insurance goal with five minutes remaining in the contest to improve their record to 7-4 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
John Piperis and Carlos Mellado had the only two shots for Wayland, which fell to 3-7 and 0-4.
