WBU baseball to host 'Doggie Doubleheader' April 18

Wayland Baptist baseball fans will get to take in a doubleheader with their best friend and watch a dog agility demonstration on Saturday, April 18.

Billed as a "Doggie Doubleheader," fans are invited to bring their dogs to the Pioneers' games against McMurry. The first pitch is at 1 p.m. at Wilder Field for the two seven-inning games. There is no admission (for humans or canines.)

All dogs must be leashed and well-mannered. Treats and fresh water will be provided.

In between games at approximately 3 p.m., local dog trainers Regina Edwards and Nancy Lewis will give an on-field agility demonstration with their dogs, who are specially-trained to perform obstacle course tasks such as jumping through tires, running through tunnels, traversing a teeter-totter, and weaving through a series of poles.
