Flying Queens collecting food for FISH

The Wayland Baptist Flying Queens are collecting food for Faith In Sharing House (FISH), Hale County's food pantry.

In lieu of admission, fans attending Thursday's 2 p.m. game in Hutcherson Center between the No. 6 Flying Queens and LSU-Alexandria are asked to bring non-perishable food items to be donated to FISH. Monetary donations also will be accepted.

While WBU students and employees always are admitted free to WBU athletics events with proper ID, they're still invited to participate in the food drive.

At 2 p.m. Thursday in the Hutch, the Flying Queens (7-2) will end a 12-day layoff by hosting the Generals of LSU-Alexandria (6-3), ranked the equivalent of 34th in the NAIA after being ranked No. 23 in the preseason poll.
