The Wayland Baptist men's soccer team has signed Danijel Bozic, a native of Germany who will transfer from a community college in Iowa.

Bozic, from Karlsruhe, Germany, currently is a sophomore at Iowa Central Community College. Last year he earned his spot on the team as a right back and started every game for Iowa Central. The team finished the year 9-8 overall and 4-5 in conference.

Robert Ssejjemba said. "Dani is a talented player who fits in perfectly with the way that we play here at Wayland. He possesses a wonderful work ethic, energy and enthusiasm to his game that complements our style of play and allow him to play as both a fullback and an outside midfielder in our system."

Bozic also shines in the classroom, currently holding a GPA of 3.66. He will join the Pioneers in the fall.

Two others recently signed with Wayland, Leonardo Amaral and Jesus Chillon, both transfers from Arizona Western College who will join the Pioneers in the spring.
The Pioneers posted a 5-1 during the fall season and will resume their schedule with a scrimmage against West Texas A&M in Canyon on Jan. 30 then the start of Sooner Athletic Conference play Feb. 23 at Oklahoma-Panhandle State.
