The Wayland Baptist Flying Queens have been awarded a second consecutive forfeit victory due to COVID-19 issues with their opponent.
As players were on the court warming up before the No. 6 Flying Queens were set to take the floor against John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Ark., the game was cancelled due to COVID-19 issues within the Golden Eagles' program.
The WBU-JBU men's game previously was cancelled due to COVID-19 issues within the Pioneers' program.
Wayland's doubleheader on Saturday at Oklahoma City University also was cancelled for the same reasons.
The Flying Queens now are 14-1 on the season and 6-0 in conference play. Their next home game is 6 p.m. Thursday against Science & Arts of Oklahoma (9-3, 3-2).
Both the Flying Queens and Pioneers are scheduled to host games this week against Science & Arts of Oklahoma at 6 and 8 p.m. Thursday and against Texas Wesleyan at 2 and 4 p.m. Saturday.
