Kiptoo repeats as SAC Runner of Week

For the second straight week, Wayland Baptist's Dennis Kiptoo has been named Sooner Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Kiptoo is being honored this time after finishing 15^th out of 155 runners Saturday at the Old Glory Gallop hosted by Dallas Baptist University. Kiptoo ran a time of 25 minutes, 19.1 seconds over the 8-kilometer course at Lynn Creek Park in Grand Prairie.

A senior from Eldoret, Kenya, Kiptoo is a three-time NAIA All-American, placing 18^th at the past two NAIA National Championships after finishing ninth as a freshman.

The WBU runners will next compete at the NAIA Mid-States Classic on Saturday in Winfield, Kan. It will be the Pioneers' fourth meet in four weeks leading up to the SAC Championships Nov. 5 in Bethany, Okla.
