WINFIELD, Kan. – At their final outing before the conference meet, Wayland Baptist's men's cross country team finished 10
th out of 17 teams at the 43
rd annual NAIA Mid-States Classic held Saturday at Kansas Veterans Home.

Without top runner
Dennis Kiptoo and competing for the fourth straight weekend, Wayland produced 254 points. Oklahoma City University, ranked No. 7 in the NAIA, won with 36 points as three Stars finished in the top five, led by overall winner Abraham Chelangam who finished the 8k course in 24 minutes, 30.10 seconds.
Pacing the Pioneers was
Malachi Macias, who placed 17
th in 26:46.75. Other WBU runners and their finishes were:
