Baseball vs. Huston-Tillotson cancelled

After being delayed twice, Wayland Baptist's baseball doubleheaders against Huston-Tillotson have been cancelled.

Games in Austin between the Pioneers and Rams originally were scheduled for Friday and Saturday, postponed until Saturday and Sunday, and postponed again until Sunday and Monday. However, due to the Austin area receiving more moisture than what was foreseen, officials determined the field to be unplayable through at least Monday. Attempts to find an alternative site were not successful.

Meanwhile, the JV baseball team still is scheduled to open its season with a doubleheader at Midland College on Sunday beginning at 1 p.m. Those games originally were scheduled to be played Friday but were delayed due to wintry weather.
