Jarvis doubleheader off; OPSU series adjusted

The weekly schedule for the Wayland Baptist baseball team has been adjusted.

The Pioneers were scheduled to travel to Hawkins to take on Jarvis Christian in a rescheduled doubleheader on Tuesday, but due to the forecast of inclement weather, those games have been cancelled. The doubleheader originally was scheduled for last month but was postponed also to the threat of inclement weather.

Meanwhile, the Pioneers' three-game weekend Sooner Athletic Conference series against Oklahoma-Panhandle State in Goodwell, Okla., has been moved ahead a day to allow student-athletes more travel time for Easter weekend. The Pioneers (19-16, 4-11 SAC) and Aggies (12-25, 4-11) will play a doubleheader at noon Thursday followed by a single game at noon Friday.

WBU and OPSU are tied for sixth place in the SAC standings. The Pioneers are coming off a three-game sweep of Central Christian (Kan.) while the Aggies were swept by Science & Arts of Oklahoma after winning two of three against Central Christian.
