Four baseballers up for academic honors

Wayland Baptist baseball players Mark Anzaldua, Gloymer Cuevas, Tanner Solomon and Brock Webber have been nominated for Academic All-District honors in a program sponsored by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

To be eligible for nomination, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above and have been enrolled at their current institution for at least a complete calendar year, have at least a cumulative 3.30 GPA, and be a starter or significant reserve who has participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games, or for pitchers have at least 10 innings pitched.

Voting is by CoSIDA members. Winners will be announced later this year and be eligible for Academic All-America honors.
