Plainview, Texas – The Wayland Baptist men's and women's wrestling teams were back in action Wednesday afternoon against the Mountaineers of Schreiner University.
The RV Pioneers were victorious in their dual against Schreiner by a score of 26-18. Wayland Baptist was able to claim five victories during the dual, suffered one loss via Forfeit, and Schreiner claimed three wins.

Hunter McCarty, and Ethan Salazar were the Pioneers that defeated their opponents from Schreiner University.
The Pioneer women's wrestling team fell just short to Schreiner by a score of 26-22. RV Wayland Baptist was able to win four matches during the dual, losing two by Forfeit, and suffering defeat to Schreiner in six matches.

Aspen DeHerrera, and Mohagany Casel all were victorious in their matches Wednesday afternoon.
Up next for the Wayland Baptist men's and women's wrestling teams is a trip to York, Nebraska where they will compete in the York University Duals. The dual is set for Friday January 12
th.
