WBU Wrestling Participates in Community Service Project with Thrive Early Learning Academy

PLAINVIEW --- The Wayland Baptist University wrestling team spent their Saturday morning volunteering at Thrive Early Learning Academy, a new early childhood education center preparing to open in Plainview.

The student athletes dedicated several hours to moving furniture, organizing classroom materials, and helping set up learning spaces to ensure the facility was ready for its upcoming grand opening.

Directors Katrina Garrett and Courtney Frausto expressed heartfelt appreciation for the team's support during such an important milestone for the academy.

"We are incredibly grateful for the Wayland Baptist wrestling team," said Director Katrina Garrett. "Their willingness to step in and help made the entire setup process smoother and far less overwhelming."

Director Courtney Frausto added, "The team showed professionalism, kindness, and a true spirit of service. Their hard work made a significant impact, and we could not have asked for a better group to partner with."

The volunteer effort reflects Wayland Baptist University's commitment to fostering leadership, service, and community engagement among its student athletes. Thrive Early Learning Academy extends its sincere thanks to the team for helping bring the new Plainview learning center one step closer to welcoming young students.
