Palm Coast – After one round of play at the 2024 NCCAA Men's Golf National Championships, Wayland Baptist senior
Benjamin Lubker is the current individual co-leader, and the Pioneers sit in second place as a team
Lubker had a terrific first round at the NCCAA National Championships, finishing with a round of 69 to sit -3 under par and tied for first with Ian Reed of Cedarville. Lubker finished with the second most birdies in the round with six, and he was the top scorer on Par 4's at -2 under par.
As a team, Wayland Baptist sits in second place and one shot back of the leader, Bethel (IN). The Pioneers finished the opening round shooting a team 299. Bethel (IN) sits in first after shooting a 298, and Cedarville is in third after an opening round 301.

Leonard Lebrun currently sits in a tie for 11
th after an opening round 76. Lebrun scored two birdies and 11 pars in his opening round, while shooting +1 on Par 5s with an average of 5.25 shots per Par 5.
Sophomore
Sacha Brendle is tied for 14
th after shooting an opening round 77. Brendle finished with a birdie and 12 pars, while finishing -1 on Par 5s with an average of 4.75 shots per Par 5.
Freshman
Etienne Bocquillon is also tied for 14
th after scoring an opening round 77. Bocquillon finished tied for the third most birdies in the opening round with four, while finishing in a tie for first on Par 3s with a total score of -2 under par and an average of 2.50 shots per Par 3.
Freshman
Nino Mahy is currently tied for 22
nd after scoring an opening round 78. Mahy finished the opening round with two birdies and nine pars, while shooting -1 on Par 3s with an average of 2.75 shots per Par 3.
As a team, Wayland Baptist scored 47 pars and 15 birdies. The Pioneers were the best team on Par 3s, finishing with a team score of -2 and an average of 2.90 shots per Par 3. The Pioneers also led the total scoring on Par 5s, finishing with a team score of E par for an average of 5 shots per Par 5.
