KANSAS CITY, MO. --- The Wayland Baptist Women's Wrestling team has risen to #10 in the first regular season edition of the NAIA Women's Wrestling Coaches' Top 20 Poll. The Pioneers were previously ranked #13 in the preseason edition.
It's no surprise that the Pioneers made a jump in the Top 20 poll after dismantling Murray State College in their season-opening meet, 45-7, and following it up with a downright dominant performance at the 2025 Falcon Open where eight wrestlers placed 1
st place in their respective weight classes.
As for the individual national rankings amongst their respective weight classes, the following Pioneers were ranked inside the Top 20:
