WBU Women Place Second at the 2025 SAC Women's Wrestling Qualifying Tournament

Fort Worth, Texas – The Wayland Baptist Women's Wrestling team placed second in the 2025 SAC Women's Wrestling Qualifying Tournament. Wayland's 155 points was a point and a half behind Oklahoma City University's 156.5 points. Texas Wesleyan finished third with 131 points.

Tess Barnett, Mercy Adekuoroye, Jordan Suarez and Leilani Sanchez all placed first in their weight class. Mia Arceneaux placed second in her division.  By virtue of their top two finish, these ladies earned All-Conference Honors.

103 lb. – Malarie Dominguez – 3^rd
110 lb. – Alissa Cowling – 3^rd
117 lb. – Mia Arceneaux – 2^nd; Nahim Arenas – 3^rd
124 lb. – Tess Barnett – 1^st; Danyl Pippin – 5^th
131 lb. – Mercy Adekuoroye – 1^st; Myah Brown – 5^th
138 lb. – Jordan Suarez – 1^st; Aspen DeHerrera – 6^th
160 lb. – Mohagany Casel – 3^rd
207 lb. – Leilani Sanchez – 1^st
