Oklahoma City, OK – The Sooner Athletic Conference released awards for Men's Basketball Wednesday afternoon and four Pioneers were recognized.
The Pioneers who received 2025 All-Sooner Athletic Conference awards were:
Quenton Coleman – All-SAC First Team
Julian Perez – Freshman of the Year; SAC All-Freshman Team
Kabine Kaba – All-SAC Honorable Mention
Brett Leach – All-SAC Honorable Mention
Coleman, a senior from San Antonio, earned First Team All-SAC after averaging 19.1 points per game, 3.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists. Coleman shot 38.7% from the three-point line, which was #1 in the SAC and 86.1% from the free throw line, 2
nd best in the conference. His 19.1 points per game average was 3
rd best in the SAC.
Perez, from Cayey, Puerto Rico, garnered the conference's Freshman of the Year honor. He played in 26 games, averaging 5.3 points and 2.0 rebounds per game while dishing out 45 assists.
Kaba, a junior from Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, earned SAC Honorable Mention by averaging 8.2 points and 7.4 rebounds per game, the 6
th best rebounding average in the conference.
Leach, a junior who hails from Andrews, Texas, had a strong second season with the Pioneers, earning SAC Honorable Mention. He averaged 9.7 points along with 3.4 rebounds. In conference play, Leach shot 37.6% from behind the three-point line.
