Potts Garners NCCAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week Honors

Oklahoma City, Okla. --- Pioneer junior right-handed pitcher Tyson Potts has been recognized as this week's Sooner Athletic Conference Oklahoma Ford Dealer's Baseball Pitcher of the Week after helping the Pioneers go 5-1 on the week.
 
This is the second Pitcher of the Week award for Potts, as he was also named Sooner Athletic Conference Oklahoma Ford Dealer's Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
 
Potts was dominant this week and provided great stability to the Pioneer pitching staff. In three appearances (1 start), Potts threw 12.1 innings with a 1.64 ERA and 20 strikeouts.
 
Potts had his best start of the season on Saturday that clinched a road sweep at College of the Ozarks. In the Pioneers 14-1 seven inning run-rule win, Potts threw all 7.0 innings, only allowing one run, two walks, while striking out nine Bobcat hitters. Potts secured the win and now owns a 2-3 record on the season.
 
Potts and the Pioneers will wrap-up the 2025 regular season this week with four more games, including a non-conference game on Tuesday, April 15^th against the University of the Southwest (NM) at 2:00 PM.
 
The Pioneers will play host to a doubleheader against the Tigers of Central Christian on Friday, April 18^th beginning 4:00 PM followed by a single nine-inning game ono Saturday, April 19^th at 1:00 PM.
