OKLAHOMA CITY --- Flying Queens freshman guard
Cania Mitchell has earned this week's SAC Digital Scoreboards Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week award, per the Sooner Athletic Conference offices.
The Amarillo, Texas native was dominant for the Flying Queens this past weekend against College of the Ozarks and John Brown. Across the two games, Mitchell averaged 23.5 ppg, 9.5ast/g, 8.0 ast/g, and 3.5 stl/g.
In the Queens' game against College of the Ozarks, Mitchell scored 18 points on 7/10 shooting from the floor and 1/1 from three-point range, 10 assists, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals.
Mitchell followed up that performance with a near triple-double in the Queens' 81-75 OT win against John Brown. She scored 29 points on 10/19 shooting from the floor, 9 assists, 9 rebounds, and 3 steals.
This is Mitchell's third SAC Digital Scoreboards Player of the Week honor of the season, and her third in the last four weeks.
