OKLAHOMA CITY – Wayland Baptist junior
Sacha Brendle has been recognized as the week's SAC Men's Golfer of the Week recipient, per the Sooner Athletic Conference offices.
A native of Benfeld, France, Brendle secured his second career victory at the 2026 Top of Texas Invitational after scoring 71-72-67-210. Brendle won the event by one stroke, and his 4
th round 67 played a major factor in him climbing the leaderboard to the top spot.
Across three rounds of play, Brendle scored 13 Birdies (1
st in the field) and 32 Pars. He was also finished with the lowest total scores on Par 4s and Par 5s, averaging 3.94 shots per Par 4 (-2 under Par) and 4.33 shots per Par 5 (-6 under Par).
Brendle and the Pioneers won first place overall as a team after shooting 296-297-279-872, winning the tournament by eight shots over West Texas A&M (B). Eight teams competed in the 2026 Top of Texas Invitational.
The Pioneers are gearing up for The Battle at Laughlin Ranch GC in Bullhead City, Arizona that is scheduled to be played on March 23-24, 2026.
