Competing in the half-marathon at the Cowtown Marathon in Fort Worth, Alex finished third out of 6,019 runners. The sophomore from Lubbock completed the 13.1-mile course in 1 hour, 11 minutes, 28 seconds. The time qualifies Alex for the full marathon at the NAIA Outdoor National Track & Field Championships in Gulf Shores, Ala., scheduled for May 25-27.
