Asia, a freshman from Arlington, competed in her first collegiate tournament at the Oklahoma City University Blue Chip Open and took first place in the 101-pound division. She won all eight of her matches, five by pin and three by technical fall including over all-American Hiba Salem of Menlo College (Calif.), who is ranked third in the country in her weight class. The Pioneers are ranked fifth by WCWA.
