After winning a title in just his second collegiate tournament, Wayland Baptist's
Enzo Dakiche has been named Sooner Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week.
Dakiche, a freshman from France competing as an individual not part of the fifth-ranked Pioneers' five-member team, was the wire-to-wire winner in the Wayland Baptist Invitational held at Plainview Country Club. Dakiche shot rounds of 67, 70 and 67 for a 6-under 204 on the par-70 layout. He defeated Liam Currid of Oklahoma Wesleyan by three shots.
In his first collegiate tourney a week earlier, The Hrncair in Duncan, Okla., Dakiche tied for 50
th place out of 70 golfers.

Tom Harp said. "He is a talented young man who has worked very hard this semester. It's impressive to see him pull off this victory in his second collegiate tournament. He is a quality young man with a great personality."
The Pioneers' next tournament is the San Antonio Shootout Feb. 20 and 21.
