Olympian speaks at Team Wayland event

Former Olympian high jumper Bradley Adkins, a native of Idalou and former Texas Tech all-American, spoke to Wayland Baptist student-athletes during Sunday evening's Team Wayland event.

Adkins, an advocate for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, encouraged Wayland's student-athletes to keep God at the center of everything they do. 

WBU President Dr. Bobby Hall reminded student-athletes about the NAIA's Champions of Character initiative.

Team Wayland t-shirts were distributed and student-athletes received frozen treats.
