CANYON – Four Wayland Baptist track & field student-athletes competed Friday at the West Texas A&M Last Chance Meet, the final outing prior to the NAIA Outdoor National Championships.
"It was a good last meet," interim coach Tre Hinds said.

Case Drum came up with a national-qualifying "A" standard time of 48.02 seconds in the 400 meters while freshman
Lorenzo Luces, already a national qualifier in the triple jump, bettered his mark to a season-best 14.88 meters (48 feet, 10 inches). Luces will be seeded just outside the top 10 going into nationals.
In the 400 hurdles,
Daeandre Harris and
Mark Phillips turned in what Hinds called "decent times" of 54.84 and 57.22, respectively.
The NAIA Outdoor National Championships will be held May 24-26 in Marion, Ind.
