4 WBU Hoopers Named 2024 Daktronics NAIA Basketball Scholar-Athletes

Plainview, Texas – Four Wayland Baptist Hoopers were named to the Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes List for the 2023-24 season. Emily Sigala, Kaitlyn Jerden, Alice Conely, and Joshua Tucker were named 2024 Daktronics NAIA Basketball Scholar-Athletes for their hard-work in the classrooms this season.
 
In order to qualify for the Scholar-Athletes nominations, athletes must achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear eligible on their eligibility certificate, and have attended one full year at said the institution.
 
Emily Sigala is a 5'2 junior guard from Plainview, Texas, and she is majoring in Mathematics (7th – 12th grade).
 
Alice Conely is a 6'0 junior forward from Lubbock, Texas, and she is majoring in Life Sciences (Grades 7th – 12th).
 
Joshua Tucker is a 5'10 junior guard from Childress, Texas, and he is a Media Arts and Communications Studies major.
