The NCCAA has named Wayland Baptist senior utilityman
Felix Polanco as this week's NCCAA Division I Baseball Offensive Player of the Week after lifting the Pioneers to their third straight sweep of a Sooner Athletic Conference opponent and 10
th straight victory.

A native of Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, Polanco has been on an absolute tear at the dish this season, and that continued with another strong performance last weekend at Nelson.

Polanco finished the week hitting .714 across 14 at-bats with one home run, eight RBIs, four doubles, 10 runs scored, and two stolen bases. Polanco recorded 3+ hits in three of the Pioneers' four games.

For the season, Polanco is now hitting .409 with 13 home runs, 54 RBIs, 41 runs scored, six stolen bases, and an .819 slugging percentage. His 54 RBIs are tops in the Sooner Athletic Conference and T-3
rd in the entire NAIA, and his 104 total bases on the season ranks 5
th nationally.

The Pioneers will host the Stars of Oklahoma City University for a three-game series that will begin on Friday, April 4
th. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Friday with game one scheduled to start at 4:00 PM.
