Pioneers Clinch 8-seed in 2025 SAC Softball Championships

The Sooner Athletic Conference office has revealed the bracket for the 2025 SAC Softball Championships, and the Wayland Baptist Pioneers have clinched the 8-seed with a date against top-seeded Science & Arts (Okla.) in the Opening Round set.
 
The Pioneers earned the 8-seed in the upcoming SAC Softball Championships after finishing the 2025 regular season with a 20-28 overall record and 14-22 in Sooner Athletic Conference play.
 
The Drovers of Science & Arts (Okla.) locked up the 1-seed, the Stars of Oklahoma City clinched the 2-seed, and the Evangels of Mid-America Christian secured the 3-seed in the upcoming SAC Championships.
 
The SAC Softball Championships will be played on the campuses of the two top seeds, Science & Arts (Okla.) and Oklahoma City beginning on Thursday, May 1^st. The Championship game will be played on Saturday, May 3^rd.
 
The Opening Round games will feature:
 
(1) Science & Arts (Okla.) vs. (8) Wayland Baptist
(2) Oklahoma City vs. (7) Nelson
(3) Mid-America Christian vs. (6) Southwestern Christian
(4) Texas Wesleyan vs. (5) Oklahoma Panhandle State
