Oklahoma City, Okla. --- The Wayland Baptist Pioneer Women's Golf team wrapped up their 2024-25 season with a fifth-place finish at the 2025 Sooner Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championships.

The Pioneers earned the fifth-place finish after scoring rounds of 370-365-369-1104. Par 3s and Par 4s were the holes the Pioneers had the most success on, finishing in third as a team on both. They scored eight Birdies and 61 Pars over the course of three rounds.

Marissa Armendariz was the top finisher for the Pioneers, earning a 15th place finish with scores of 83-84-84-251. She shined on Par 3s and finished with a T-5th lowest average score on Par 3s, finishing with a final score of +3 and 3.25 shots per Par 3. Armendariz finished the tournament with four Birdies and 18 Pars.

Juanita Villafane finished next at 16th place after scoring rounds of 87-82-83-252. Villafane handled Par 5s by finishing with a final score of +7 and an average of 5.58 shots per Par 5. She finished the tournament with three Birdies and 19 Pars.

Ellen Lonergan finished in 17th place after scoring rounds of 87-90-95-262. Lonergan finished the tournament with 20 Pars and a Birdie.

Emme Wilson finished in 31st place with rounds of 113-109-117-339. Wilson also notched four Pars.
