Marion, Indiana – Wayland Baptist was represented by six athletes at the 2025 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University.
Matthew Gordon and
Justin Guy each finished third to bring home bronze medals in their respective events. Gordon, a sophomore from Guyana, placed third in the 800-meter run with an outstanding time of 1:50.86. Guy, a junior from Trinidad & Tobago, ran a blazing 14.02 to finish third in the 100-meter hurdles.
Gordon also was a member of the Pioneer 4 X 400-meter relay team along with Diego Constantino,
Case Drum and Todd Young. They ran a 3:17.70 in a preliminary heat, the 23
rd best time at the meet.
Mia Gray, a freshman from Sunray, Texas, represented Wayland Baptist in the women's shot put. Gray placed 12
th with a heave of 13.38m (43-10.75).
