NEWTON, Kan. – The 6
th ranked Wayland Baptist Men's Golf team opened their 2025-26 campaign with a 10
th place finish at the Mid-South Invitational.
The Pioneers earned the 10
th place finish after shooting team scores of 297-314-296-907. The team scored a total of 32 Birdies and 156 Pars across three rounds of play.
Mid-America Nazarene (292-277-293-862) took home first place, Friends (284-290-290-864) earned second place, and Nebraska Wesleyan (290-286-294-870) finished third to round out the top 3 finishers.
Sophomore
Nino Mahy finished with the highest individual score for the Pioneers, earning a T-26
th standing after scoring 74-72-75-221. Mahy finished the tournament with nine Birdies and 32 Pars.
Leonard Lebrun finished one shot behind Mahy, finishing in a T-31
st with scores of 71-76-75-222. Lebrun scored six Birdies and 37 Pars over his three rounds.
Alexandre Genet finished in a T-58
th in his Pioneer debut after scoring 79-73-80-232. Genet finished with 35 Pars while also adding three Birdies.
Bodee Bratcher, also making his Pioneer debut, earned a T-58
th place finish after scoring 76-83-73-232. Bratcher finished the tournament with six Birdies and 31 Pars.
Sophomore
Etienne Bocquillon also finished in a T-58
th after shooting 76-83-73-232. Bocquillon finished with the second most Birdies on the team (8) while also adding 28 Pars.
Aiden Conroy finished in T-82
nd after scoring 84-83-77-244. The sophomore finished with three Birdies and 28 Pars across three rounds.

The Pioneers will begin preparations for the Andrews Collegiate Amateur hosted by Midland College. The tournament will be played in Andrews, Texas at Andrews County GCS on September 6
th and 7
th.
