OKLAHOMA CITY --- Pioneer junior forward
Rico Yarbrough earns this week's SAC Digital Scoreboards Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week honors, per the Sooner Athletic Conference offices.
The Beloit, Wisconsin native has now been recognized as a SAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week recipient for the second straight week. Yarbrough's defensive efforts lifted the Pioneers to a 2-0 week with wins over OPSU and Central Christian.
In the Pioneers' 92-82 win over OPSU, Yarbrough finished with 31 points, 7 rebounds (4 defensive), 3 assists, 3 blocks, and 2 steals. Yarbough followed that up with 19 points, 13 rebounds (7 defensive), 2 assists, and 3 blocks in their 97-62 win over Central Christian.
Yarbrough and the Pioneers will take the floor again on Thursday, January 29
th, when they take on the Rams of Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Texas. Tip-off is currently scheduled for approximately 8:00 PM.
