DUNCAN, Okla. – The 17
th ranked Wayland Baptist men's golf team earned 5
th place at the 2026 SAC Championships played at The Territory GC. Sophomore
Etienne Bocquillon shot even Par to earn a Top 10 finish.
The Pioneers earned 5
th place after shooting 299-298-299-896, showing consistency but not able to find that push to get them into the top of the leaderboard. Over three rounds of golf, the Pioneers scored 24 Birdies and 181 Pars (most in the field).
Bocquillon was the top finisher for the Pioneers, earning 9
th place after scoring 74-70-72-216. Bocquillon was one of the top players on Par 3s, shooting even Par and averaging 3.00 shots per Par 3. He scored the most Pars at the tournament (39) while also scoring 9 Birdies.
Sophomore
Nino Mahy finished tied for 20
th with scores of 73-77-76-226 over three rounds. Mahy finished the tournament with four Birdies and 36 Pars (T-5
th in the field).
Junior
Leonard Lebrun finished right behind Mahy in 22
nd place after shooting 77-74-76-226. Across three rounds, Lebrun scored seven Birdies and 34 Pars.
Junior
Sacha Brendle finished in a tie for 25
th after scoring 81-77-75-233. Brendle finished tied for 3
rd in total Pars (37) while also scoring two Birdies.
Alexandre Genet came in 29
th place after shooting 75-84-77-236. Genet scored two Birdies and 35 Pars (T-8
th in the field).
Aiden Conroy competed as an independent and finished in 37
th place after scoring 91-87-79-257. Conroy scored one Birdie and 25 Pars over three rounds of play.
The Pioneers will now begin preparations for the 2026 NAIA Men's Golf National Championships that are set to take place on May 12-15 in Silvis, Illinois at TPC-Deere Run.
