Gray Earns 3rd SAC Digital Scoreboard Women's Field Athlete of the Week Honor on the Season

OKLAHOMA CITY --- Wayland Baptist sophomore Mia Gray has earned this week's SAC Digital Scoreboard Women's Field Athlete of the Week honors, per the Sooner Athletic Conference offices.

The Sunray, Texas native earned the award after bringing home the NCCAA Indoor Track & Field national title in the shot put with a final throw of 12.86m. She also placed 7^th in the women's weight throw.

This is Gray's third SAC Field Athlete of the Week honor this season, and she currently ranks 23^rd in the nation in the event.

With the national title win, Gray was recognized as an NCCAA All-American. Gray was also recognized as an NCCAA Scholar Athlete recipient.

Gray and the Pioneers will travel to Levelland, Texas on Saturday, February 21^st, to compete in the SPC West Texas Shootout hosted by South Plains College. The Pioneers are using this event as a last chance qualifier for the 2026 NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships.
