OKLAHOMA CITY – Wayland Baptist sophomore field athlete
Mia Gray has been recognized as this week's SAC Digital Scoreboards Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week recipient, per the Sooner Athletic Conference offices. This is Gray's fourth time winning the award between both indoor and outdoor seasons.
A native of Sunray, Texas, Gray had a solid showing this past weekend at the Texas Tech Masked Rider Open where she brought home 6
th place in the women's shot put event with a furthest toss of 11.95m.
Out of the five athletes who finished ahead of Gray, three represented Texas Tech, showcasing the high-quality talent in the event.
Gray and the Pioneers will be heading to San Marcos, Texas this weekend to compete in the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Texas State University.
