At the Corky/Crofoot Shootout at Texas Tech, Castillo ran the 100 meters (12.56 seconds) and was a member of the 4x400 relay team (4 minutes, 13.45 seconds), but stood out on the 4x100 relay where she was joined by Raheema Westfall, Safia Bright and Cheyenne Hill-Johnson in running the fastest time in the NAIA this season, 45.35 seconds.
Coach Brian Whitlock complimented Castillo, a freshman who is holding her own alongside three accomplished collegians. "Faith is a little girl from Sunray who never made a state tournament. But she's in there with girls who have combined for 30-something all-American honors, and she's doing a good job handling that pressure."
