Competing at the Sooner Athletic Conference Women’s Wrestling Championships in Oklahoma City, Nina took the title in the 101-pound division, winning all four of her matches by 10-0 tech fall, all over opponents ranked in the top 20 in the NAIA: No. 5 Madison Brown of Texas Wesleyan, No. 13 Ana Bradshaw of Missouri Baptist, No. 15 Kassidy Ramirez of Lyon and No. 18 Dominguez of Wayland.
Last year's SAC Wrestler of the Year, Nina captured her third conference crown. She is ranked No. 1 in the NAIA at 101 and thus is favored to repeat as NAIA champion when the NAIA National Invitational is held March 11 and 12 in Jamestown, N.D.
