Josiah turned in a solid weekend at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock Christmas Invitational. He won the 50-yard freestyle in 20.84 seconds, improving his national-qualifying time by almost a full second. He also had a runner-up finish in the 100-yard fly (50.73 seconds). On Saturday he qualified for nationals in the 100-free (49.94). Coach Alyson Hannan: "After he won the 50 free, all of the other coaches were coming up to me asking where this kid came from and everyone seemed surprised that he won. I knew going in that he would win, so it wasn't a surprise to me or to anyone else on our team who has seen him race this year."
