Leon has shined in his first two competitions for the WBU men’s track & field team. Last week at the Pittsburg State Invitational in Kansas, he won the triple jump with a mark of 15.46 meters (50 feet, 8¾ inches), which represents the best mark in the NAIA this season. He was named Sooner Athletic Conference Men’s Field Athlete of the Week. A week earlier in Albuquerque, the junior transfer from Orlando, Fla., turned in the NAIA’s sixth-best long jump, 23 feet, 7½ inches.
