WESTWORTH VILLAGE, TX – The Pioneer Women's Golf team opened their 2025-2026 season at the 2025 Texas Intercollegiate, earning a 7
th place finish.
Isabelle Victoria Soh paced the Pioneers by earning a T-13
th place finish.
Wayland Baptist took home 7
th place with scores of 320-311-314-945. As a team, the Pioneers finished the tournament with 20 Birdies, 124 Pars, and an Eagle. Blinn JC won the event (303-291-294-888) followed by 2
nd place, Weatherford JC (292-297-301-890) and 3
rd place, Science & Arts (301-298-300-899).
Soh finished T-13
th after scoring 78-74-74-226. The Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia native concluded the tournament with one Eagle, five Birdies, and 32 Pars. Soh also had the second lowest average score on Par 5s, ending the tournament with a -3 and an average of 4.75 shots per Par 5.
Marissa Armendariz earned a T-28
th with scores of 82-80-76-238. Armendariz was also terrific on Par 5s, finishing with a final score of +1 and an average of 5.08 shots on Par 5s. In total, Armendariz scored three Birdies and 32 Pars.
Juanita Villafane ended in a T-30
th place with scores of 79-78-83-240. Villafane finished the tournament with seven Birdies, T-7
th most in the field, and 24 Pars.
The 2025 SAC Women's Golf Freshman of the Year,
Ellen Lonergan, earned a T-32
nd place with scores of 81-79-81-241. Lonergan scored three Birdies and 27 Pars across three rounds of play.
Freshman
Avery Lodes finished in 51
st place after scoring 91-91-96-278 in her collegiate debut. Lodes completed her three rounds with two Birdies and nine Pars.

The Pioneers will return to action on September 15
th and 16
th when they travel to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida to compete in the 2025 Seahawk Shootout hosted by Keiser University.
